It is time for a confession. I looooove Parmesan cheese! I also frequent Nordstrom’s Bistro and love the huge triangle of crisp Parmesan they artistically place atop their Caesar salad. So, I set out to make them! Surprisingly, it is so easy to make yourself!
Parmesan Crisps Recipe
Parmesan cheese
Sprayable oil
Truly- that’s it! That’s all it takes! Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Shred the Parmesan until you have the desired amount for the number of crisps you would like to make. Depending on your size and shape of the crisp, it will take about 2 Tablespoons of cheese per crisp.
Line a baking sheet with wax or silpat paper to keep the crisp from sticking to the sheet, and spray the paper lightly with oil. Use a cookie cutter, biscuit cutter, or as I did, the rim of a mason jar lid, and use it to shape the crisps.
Bake for about 5 minutes. Once out of the oven, gently pull the paper off the sheet and set on a cooling rack for a few moments. The cheese will harden quickly, then carefully lift it off the paper with a spatula. Serve it with a Caesar salad or as I did with a lovely pasta dish that I will share with you on Monday!
