I have enjoyed Pumpkin Week, and could not conclude it without working in my newest hot chocolate recipe. I love hot chocolate! This is a nice twist on it to soak in autumn a little bit more.
Making hot chocolate at home is one of the easiest things to do! Simply figure out the right ratio of ingredients and heat them in a saucepan. Viola!
Pumpkin Hot Chocolate with Cinnamon Whipped Cream Recipe serves 3-4
4C milk
1/2C pumpkin puree
3oz semisweet chocolate
2T brown sugar
1t vanilla extract
1t pumpkin pie spice
whipping cream, sugar, and cinnamon for Whipped Cream
With the exception of the cinnamon whipped cream ingredients, add all ingredients into a saucepan and whisk over medium heat. Whisk until all chocolate is dissolved and hot chocolate is thoroughly heated.
Serve immediately, garnishing with cinnamon whipped cream and a sprinkling of ground cinnamon.
